Introduction

Matthias SperberI'm a research staff member at the Institute for Anthropomatics at KIT in Germany. I'm also a PhD candidate, my advisor is Prof. Alex Waibel of KIT / CMU, my co-advisor is Prof. Satoshi Nakamura of NAIST. I'm a regular visiting researcher at the Augmented Human Communication Laboratory at NAIST in Japan.

My research areas are speech recognition and machine translation. I'm especially interested in making human annotation / correction more efficient, and try to combine ideas from research in post editing, active learning, optimization, cognitive modeling, and Bayesian statistics.
