I work as a machine translation researcher at Apple, focusing in particular on translation of speech. I completed my Ph.D. in 2019 at KIT advised by Prof. Alex Waibel, around the topic of end-to-end speech translation and in particular data efficiency and error propagation. My research endeavors have also taken me to extended stays at NAIST (Japan), as well as CMU. Before working on speech translation, I worked among other things on efficient human annotation paradigms in NLP and speech.
